REISSUE: “Fantasy” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – The Ritchie Family The Ritchie Family project titled “All Night All Right” from 1983 features Jacqui Smith-Lee, Linda James and Vera Brown on vocals and was produced by Gavin Christopher and Jimmy Douglas. “Fantasy” is a single that falls close to the work in a prior project by Jacques Fred Petrus with a trickling techno set as the girls lead a sexy and haunting refrain. It is one of the pieces that I would use for afterhours sets that lead to such an atmosphere. It is a different feel for The Ritchie Family and has a nice airy quality. I have taken the album version of “Fantasy” and recreated a new ReStructure Mix that takes the soaring song into a new sensual galaxy. A familiar beat sample is added along with new percussion to help this mission be a successful one.
