ReStructure Mix Update (2/22/21) “Mommie (Erotic)” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Kryptonite

Kryptonite is a Canadian disco project which began in the early 80’s along with producers Joe La Greca and John McDiarmid Their initial singles featured a production with heavy percussion and bass sequencers rolling out the energy – very close to the feel of Denis Le Page and his Lime sound. Kryptonite was taken over by Italo-disco producer Biagio Farina in 1986 and a new antidote was created for a single titled “Mommie”. The new sound was a mambo-like track that encompasses a mystique and edge as if it were a theme from a James Bond film. It plays out in a clever arrangement where a confession from a loyal boy to his mother gives us a teasing reading. One of the big numbers in my club for the time and no stranger for Farina who is known for his work with various dance projects in the 80 are including Ray Vista, Judy B., Claudia Hart, and Kim Lamour. Another wonderful production by Biagio who always displayed his dedication to dance music by the great results,

I have taken the 12” version of ”Mommie” and rewired the track for this ReStructure Mix. There is more laid out using the fantastic percussion track and some play with the segments to take this version on another new path.
