REISSUE: “Love Take Me High” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Loverde

REISSUE: “Love Take Me High” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Loverde Loverde is Frank Loverde, Linda Imperial and Peggy Gibson – one of the first disco groups to enter 1980. Following the loss of interest that major record labels and the “disco fever” that the trend seekers who were only involved due to the hype and over marketing of the word “disco”. Disco was always an underground concept. The wave from 1977 – 1979 created an audience that were only along for the ride and until the next trend they could find. In my opinion the return to underground roots during the early 80’s was the best for the music as it kept those who truly believed in the meaning and creativity behind the art of disco. Loverde is one of the San Francisco community disco groups that included Patrick Cowley and Don Miley. This trio has a bit club hit in 1982 titled “Die Hard Lover” which remained true to the disco environment but in a new electronic arrangement which was more pleasing for a new era and audience. Those who always loved disco music, unlike the followers were all drawn to projects like Loverde. I have taken the 1987 Loverde release “Love Take Me High” – produced by Leo Frappier and David Diebold (The “High Energy Igniters”) – and reworked the staple elements of the new dance floors into a ReStructure Mix. More of the powerful touches are accentuated to bring this uplifting song into ear candy.
