ReStructure Mix Update (2/10/21) “Hymn” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Magna Charta

Magna Charta is Helmut Meyers and Walfried Böcker. This duo creates an ambient/trance experience for dance music in the early 90’s. “Hymn” is a single released in 1990 which originally followed the path of Enigma’s “Sadness” complete with the Gregorian Monk chants intact but this time around there is a house bass neat which pumps up the energy and also the direction. It was one of the big floor stompers in my club at the release and continued to make its way onto many afterhours’ sets and of course ambient mix projects. The entirety of this track is an emotion feel with the piano and strings melodically painting a picture for the romantic interlude.

I have taken the 12” club and instrumental of “Hymn” and reworked a ReStructure Mix adding a few new drum beats and also a movement from Madleen Kane to complete this new segment. There are more of the bass winding drum beats and a breakdown for the energy.
