ReStructure Mix Update (5/5/21) “So Far So Good” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Sheena Easton
Sheena Easton was a voice which started in 1981 and from a “whisper to a scream” Her initial pop-radio sound notable thanks to her fantastic range and energy which she wrapped into her songs. It was the 80’s synth-pop scene which became her placement following her big 1983 hit “Telefone (Long Distance Love Affair)”. It was very comfortable arena for Sheena and she took this step further and further till you found yourself dancing to one of her new dance floor hits without even knowing it. “So Far So Good” is a track she recorded in 1986 which was from the film “About Last Night” – it was produced by dance greats Nile Rogers and Narada Michael Walden. It has that 80’s overall feel with a definite place for Sheena to once again “strut” her stuff.
I have taken the 12” vocal and dub version of “So Far So Good” and have given it a new “go” in this ReStructure Mix. More of a Latin flare is added with some new percussion and drums to give it a new shine and also new groove.
