Sylvie Stone is an Italo-disco project from producers Ennio Manuel (Cruisin’ Gang) and Enzo Vallicelli (Max-Him, Hugh Bullen). This 1983 single is one of the fantastic pieces of early Italo-disco which displays the heavy synthesizer influence and creativity. The strange theme is also of interest where it points to a title “Charming Prince”. The vocal is a childlike delivery and plays out to a promise of intimate closure. This one was a big hit for me during the early 80’s and always brought the curious record seekers asking of the artist and title. The vocal always sounded to me like an Angela Bofill in a different setting.
I have taken the 12’ vocal and instrumental of ”Charming Prince” and reworked this fairy tale dance track in a new ReStructure Mix. I have taken the wonderful rhythm pieces and reassembled them along with a cameo by Donna Summer.
