Jolo is Jo-Carol and Lauren Carter – previously The Patrick Cowley Singers and a duo who delivered high-energy work throughout the mid-80s. “Last Call” is their 1984 single produced by Barry Beam and John Hedges on the Megatone Records label. This piece is an extraordinary work of beautiful riffs and the longing desires of the night world and playing the scene where the closing of the night only begins after hours. One of the singles from that year which plays out smoothly yet full of energy to pulsate over the dance floor. The production is a keyboard and drum fantasy and work up to a crescendo for the divas to build their notes to.
I have taken the 12” vocal of “Last Call” and reworked a new ReStructure Mix to pay homage to Jolo and the high energy scene of the 80s. Some of the most lyrical pieces are used to bring this one another chance to bring that hour in with some more desire.
