ReStructure Mix Update (9/6/23): “Woman In Love” – Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Ariel

Ariel is a techno house production from Boris Inzhin, Doug Beck and Mauro P. DeSantis – a New York based project released in 2000 on Extreme Records. This cover of Barbra Streisand’s 1980 ballad written by Barry and Robin Gibb is a transition to the fast pulsating techno beats which were being formulated in the mid and late 80’s and rave and techno-house. This arrangement focuses on the ambient sound and gives our vocalist and opportunity to give a performance that a disco version would yield lightly. Lots of drop breaks and clever keyboard riffs make it a memorable track from another period where the dance floor sound was regrouping.

I have taken the 12” vocal, dub and instrumental versions of Ariel’s “Woman In Love” and replayed this one in a new way for this ReStructure Mix. A few new percussion tracks are added and more of the mystique and flowing edge are manifested to bring this new attempt a sound that continues from where the original left off.
