Laser Cowboys are an Italo-disco band who released four movements related to futuristic and or science fiction themes. “Killer Machine” is their 1986 release produced by Mach II and Laue. This one loosely based on the film “The Terminator” and is the outline for a group of warriors (The Laser Cowboys) sent to save the planet Earth from “Killer Machines”. The arrangement is in their electronic layering of effects and keyboard segments and with the excitement of a sci-fi epic onscreen. This one plays out with more of the firearm sound effects joining the vocoder chorus giving us the challenge building on our planet. One of the imaginative periods of Italo-disco and bringing a serial-like episode to life for us to dance to.
I have taken the 12” version of “Killer Machine” and enforced the battle again in this ReStructure Mix. I have added a futuristic computerized beat-thump which may sound familiar and also taking the segues into the mix fully placed.
