Boiling Point is a Canadian disco project from
Peter Frost - who also brought us Tapps ("Runaway With My Love"). The
sound of mid-80s high energy driven my riveting synthesizers and
Latin percussion. The simple elements which defined a new period of
dance music.
Johanna Vanderkly who is also a part of the trio of Harlow - the big early high energy album "Taking Off" from 1981 returns as lead vocal of Boiling Point. Her direct and appealing vocals tease and accentuate this track nicely in her own style.
I have taken the main A-side version of the 12" and have given it an alternative ReStructure Mix pulling the percussion, drums and some of the synthesizer riffs out. It is a need to keep and define this great period of dance music. One of my favorite!
