REISSUE: “I Want You” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Gary Low

REISSUE:  “I Want You” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Gary Low

Italo-disco began to shine in the early 80’s when a definite need for fantasy and escape on dance floors were still needed. The alternative sound of disco in an electronic form with much of the same beauty. Gary Low’s “I Want You” from 1983 became one of the big Italian dance hits thanks to the production from Paul Micioni and Peter Micioni. An echo of pianos and light dancing keyboards are the lure in this, one of my favorites from Gary. The romantic edge is one which many who recall falling in love with as love at first site. A break record also with lots of percussion and bongos to stir the way.

I have taken the 12” vocal and instrumental of “I Want You” and worked a new ReStructure Mix which focuses on the beautiful melody. This outline plays more of the accompaniment which speaks the most in this tune. A salute to Italo-disco again!
