Maegan Ward is a
vocalist who covers a disco classic from Carol Douglas titled “Doctor’s Orders”
– originally released in 1974 and produced by Ed O’Loughlin. This electronic
arrangement does a wonderful job capturing the lyrical dance remedy in both
vocals and the syn-drums striking throughout the love story. It is an 80’s
classic that has gone above and beyond brings the 70’s back to the 80’s. The
production is led by Marcus Barone who also gave up The Ring (“Savage Lover”),
another disco classic.
I have taken the
12” vocal and instrumental intro a ReStructure Mix to give “Doctor’s Orders”
another play on our minds. I have taken the drums into pieces and added them
over various pieces of reworked keyboards and sequencers.
