Bobby Orlando took over dance floors in the early 80’s with his unique sound and feel of his music which would help in the start of the “high energy” movement. Heavy beats, percussion and retro 60’s keyboards were a flair which lit like fire during a period where disco music was an ensemble of instruments and now with the electronic music period among us this new rhythm could find its stage. “I’m So Hot For You” is Bobby “O”’s 1982 release on his “O” Records label and quickly heard on playlists in clubs everywhere. With the early success of his studio groups as The Flirts this set him as a continued artist for dance floors. This track relies on a flirtatious eye looking for action and laying the line right out. It is one of his favorites among his fans and makes the 80’s dance floor effect return almost immediately.
I have taken the 12” vocal and “dub” versions of “I’m So Hot For You” and re-administered the percussion content and keyboards for this ReStructure Mix. An extended intro for the bridge of the song is used a few times to bring that mystique which Orlando made happen many times.
