Pet Shop Boys are Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe – this synth-pop duo has created and produced some of the most incredible dance music since their inception during the early 80’s. “West End Girls” is their first memorable single from 1984 and released with a production by high energy producer, Bobby Orlando. The track is a definite dive into what these innovative men where all about. Creating a mood and depiction of an imaginative substance by tweaking familiar elements in a new way. The song became such a dance floor hit and it was re-released later with a whole new production. Pet Shop Boys can do no wrong and it is has been from the start of their recording careers this has been evident.
I have taken the 1985 12” version of “West End Girls” and a few elements from the original to bring this classic in a new ReStructure Mix. The intro pretty music states where I was feeling this one – it was to set another stage for this number to show its stuff once again.
