ReStructure Mix Update (6/6/24):”It’s A Game” – Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Les McKeown

Les McKeown is a singer who started his career in the 70’s with Bay City Rollers. Eventually after the split up of the band his solo career began with a following from not only the BCR but also his own. “It’s A Game” is a single from 1989 – produced by Dieter Bohlen (Modern Talking). The track is a situation is a romance where the love seems hopeless as many fronts are put ahead of the actual love. It has a nice build to a downward chorus which explains the relationship failing into silence. The electronic arrangement has a nice flow along with some clever keyboard work. It is more of a tea dance piece but worked well with the right audience.

I have taken the 12” vocal and instrumental of “It’s A Game” and reworked the original for this ReStructure Mix. More of a dub-like environment has been placed ahead of the track here and the humping bass less accentuated for gain.
