The Jackson Five are Motown’s crowning achievement in displaying talent and promise of soul music. Their impact was a big success in bringing young and related performers upfront and making them stars. “Forever Came Today” is one of the tracks which plays out in a serenade of dance-fusion for the time and today stands as powerful to hear Michael Jackson’s incredible voice once again fit into the perfect realm. It is from their 1975 project titled “Moving Violation” and was produced by Brian Holland. It is a beautiful love song where the title is the magic and rest is pure residue. The arrangement was done by Arthur Wright and is an early sign of the disco arrangement where the groove pops in and out of existence without ever leaving.
I have taken the album version of “Forever Came Today” and reworked a new ReStructure Mix to give this song and The Jackson Five another lift to their talents. The arrangement is pieced in a new way and some new percussion is added to evoke more of the excitement.
