Linda Taylor is one pf UK’s vocalists who worked on projects by Gonzalez, Art Of Noise and Shakatak. Her sweet and melodic vocals are the crowning point of her single “Move Over Darling” from 1991 – produced by Martyn Norris and Richard Cottle. In the disco tradition this clever cover of Doris Day’s theme song from the 1963 comedy film (which for you Hollywood buffs – was originally titled “Something’s Got To Give” and starred Marilyn Monroe). This irresistible disco version works so well with Linda’s delivery and energy. It is as exciting as the original by Doris Day. The Almighty high energy machine is in full force here and delivers a 90’s classic.
I have taken the 12” versions of Linda Taylor’s cover of “Move Over Darling” and recreated a new ReStructure Mix. This being one of my favorite Almighty releases it was great to piece together a new remix to extend the life of this production.
