ReStructure Mix Update (3/23/25):”I Cry For You” – Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Bobby O

Bobby O is Bobby Orlando - a dance music producer who began in the late 70’s and covered the 80’s with his unique style of music. “I Cry For You” is a single from his first project titled “Freedom In An Unfree World” from 1983. This mini street-opera is one of the tracks of that year which combined the hatching sound of high energy music with the drama of disco. The lead female vocal is fabulous as she croons of being left alone with perhaps a child and yet her suitor is trying to overcome his own masculine identity. The full on electronic arrangement makes worthwhile of orchestral strikes outlining this dance classic.

I have taken the original 12” version of “I Cry For You” and re-staged this melo-drama into a new ReStructure Mix. The bass sequencers are used in looping mode to create an underground feel and the exit is again . . . dramatic!
