Missing Persons are Dale Bozzio, Warren Cuccurullo, Terry Bozzio, Garry Guttman, Patrick O'Hearn and Chuck Wild. “Words” is from their 1982 EP titled “Missing Persons” and was produced by Ken Scott. One of the truly new-wave / synth pop bands who helped set the stage for the 80’s crossover of a hardcore new wave vibe with dance floor. The basic meaning of “Words” is that no one is really paying attention so why bother with them. It is a hardcor rebellion done in a somewhat fun manner. Perhaps some of the meanest bass guitar riffs and of course along with Dale’s cool hiccup style delivery this one is a dance floor classic.
I have taken the EP version of “Words” which was later released as a 12” dance single and laid out the track for a new ReStructure Mix. Keeping the pace intact and only focusing on the extended play and giving the electronic parts a run for their money.
