House Tactics: Yo Yo Honey, Love and Sas, Mr. Peach, Joi Cardwell, Secchi, So Damn Tuff and Lil’ Louis and The World

House music picked up on the funky feel of disco music during the transitional early and mid-seventies. Much of the allure of house came from early 80’s when music god’s like, Larry Levan were creating an atmosphere for it. Most of the house music during the 80’s followed in the electronic tradition but the more traditional maintained the soulful ness intact.

The beauty of house music and it's duration was that it could be adapted in variations of dance - which is where Secchi and artists like Black Box came in from Italy. Much like what disco music is all about with it's inviting arena for many outside artists to create their own sound using it's elements.

This set is dedicated to one of the most incredible disc jockey’s of house and disco music, Felix Prince – who kept me informed by pulling me into his record pool in the late 80’s and early 90’s – he was a great man and had an incredible love for humanity and music – “I am still hearing you Felix – your words are more to me than the past!”

Lil’ Louis created “French Kiss” and then “Club Lonely” – it was an exciting time and will never be forgotten during the Miami Dance Seminar when this track was first played – I believe it was like the coming of the House God on the dance floor – it was quite exciting.
