REISSUE: “Don’t Cry For Me Argentina” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Festival

REISSUE: “Don’t Cry For Me Argentina” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Festival Festival is another project from Boris Midney – an innovative producer, writer and arranger who transformed Philly disco into a new art form. His colors consisted of the percussion which he placed over disco beats and electronic interludes and swirling disco strings. His projects are all cult pieces which are respected and viewed as the framing of where disco music made its finale statement in the late 70’s. Festival is a mature production from Midney where he transforms parts of the Broadway musical “Evita” into a disco celebration. “Don’t Cry For Me Argentina” was the first focus of the project and created quite a stir on dance floors and continues to relay the best of the disco Evita series to today. The production is still an art form where Midney creates a unique feel which brings us to another place on the dance floor that is sheer fantasy. I have taken the album version of “Don’t Cry For Me Argentina” and recreated a new phase for both the song and the disco version in this ReStructure Mix. More dub-like parts are generated from the original production. A new intro and fade are added to make the experience more of a journey.
