ReStructure Mix Update (9/24/22): “Beat Of Love” – Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Chris Thompson
Chris Thompson is vocalist from New Zealand whose past work includes Manfred Mann’s Earth Band and Alan Parsons Project. His single “Beat Of Love” from 1991is one of the highlights of the early morning set pieces. It was produced by Harold Faltermeyer of Munich disco sessions and plays out in a whirlpool of love and admiration to a relationship. The rock-edged vocal over the rolling bass sequencers and haunting breaks made this one a part of my program for after hours or simply a life-dance tape. It has Chris wailing a beautiful masculine outline and brings up to an early sunrise on any dance floor.
I have taken the 12” version of “Beat Of Love” and re-kindled the mood for this ReStructure Mix. More of the instrumental is placed in this mix to give way to the mystery and haunting unrest which is heard over and over.
