New Order is Bernard Sumner, Gillian Gilbert, Peter Hook, Phil Cunningham, Stephen Morris and Tom Chapman – an early 80’s experimental band utilizing a heavy industrial feel. Their music has always been unique in theme and execution and has given dance floors a new awakening in movement “Fine Time” is a single from their 1988 project titled “Technique” – produced by New Order. This track is peculiar in many ways including its use of acid house, new beat and hard industrial segments. The piece is another opportunity to feel the freedom that New Order uses in its creative and recording process. A unique 12” featuring various sounds for this song was one that was exciting for its time.
I have taken the 4 `12” versions of “Fine Time” and welded a chopping where the ReStructure Mix lies as a standard dance mix. I have utilized the best dub elements and compiled them into a new operating system for this strange cut.
