The Isley Brothers are a soul ensemble who began their careers in the late 50’s. The ensemble includes Chris Jasper, Ernie Isley, Marvin Isley, O'Kelly Isley, Ronald Isley and Rudolph Isley. The group survived throughout the 60s and onto the millennium recording soul, disco and r&b. “It’s A Disco Night (Rock Don’t Stop)” is the single from 1979 and the project titled “Winner Takes All” – produced by Chris Jasper. This is their disco entry during the height of disco music’s craze and their soul and funk touch makes this one an old school classic. Very driving bass and percussion give the disco lights their purpose and the funky groove the dancer’s enthusiasm.
I have taken the 12” version of “It’s A Disco Night (Rock Don’t Stop)” and reworked the power groove into a new ReStructure Mix. A new disco downbeat is added to pound out the riffs and some new breaks added to give new excitement.
