REISSUE: "Happily Ever After" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Donna Summer
Donna Summer took discotheques on a magical journey with her 1977 double-album "Once Upon A Time". And with musical arrangement in the hands of disco producer, composer and conductor Bob Esty the story was complete. Each track in this package is a golden moment filling in the make-believe fairy tale of a modern day Cinderella. I have taken the finale closing dance track from side 4, "Happily Ever After" and decided to play with the rejoice in the closing of our tale. It is a ReStructure Mix which extends the original album version and gently takes segments into a deep-breakdown. It is a playful remix which only lends my play in one of my favorite musical productions ever!

REISSUE: "I Love You" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Donna Summer

REISSUE: "I Love You" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Donna Summer The double LP that created a world of make believe for many on the dance floor was 1977's "Once Upon A Time" - probably one of Donna Summer's most creative and excellent recordings. Thanks to Chris in New Orleans and his request for extending and setting "I Love You" in it's own place, this ReStructure allows more of the dreamlike aura of this song to linger on. The orchestration of this production is incredible - Giorgio Moroder, Pete Bellotte and Donna must have all held the same dream when creating this masterpiece. Bob Esty however did have a large part of this project and much of his genius is heard throughout this cut and the LP. May the magic live forever!

REISSUE:“Queen For A Day” by Donna Summer – Disco Video Mix by Glenn Rivera

REISSUE:“Queen For A Day” by Donna Summer – Disco Video Mix by Glenn Rivera Donna Summer weaves a disco operetta of “Cinderella” in the double LP “Once Upon A Time” from 1977 – it still one of the fondest productions of the era. “Queen For A Day” is from the album and is one of Giorgio Moroder’s masterpiece combinations of his roaring and stately synthesizer and keyboard arrangements along with Bob Esty’s arrangements. It is a masterpiece all of its own. I have taken the track and placed it along with the Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “Cinderella” production from 1957 starring Ginger Rodgers, Celeste Holm, Stuart Damon and Lesley Ann Warren as our princes, soon to be queen. It is a magical and lyrical fantasy that evokes the entire mystic and joy that disco music brings. The production was directed by Charles S. REISSUE: “Fairy Tale High” by Donna Summer – Disco Video Mix by Glenn Rivera

REISSUE: “Fairy Tale High” by Donna Summer – Disco Video Mix by Glenn Rivera Donna Summer brought on one of the most iconic disco projects in history in 1977 with “Once Upon A Time” – it was a theme based on the folk tale “Cinderella” brought to life with a new edge and disco beat and arrangement. The work from Bob Esty made a stamp for future disco productions and the imagination of disco music collectors. It is the most incredible 2-vinyls adventures in modern music history. “Fairy Tale High” is from Act 1 – Record 1 of this project and is somewhat of an anthem of this project. It has the uplifting and positive sound of disco music and yet gives a glare of “the persecuted heroine” for this Disco Video Mix. I have taken scenes from the 2002 dark fantasy action film, “Snow White and the Huntsman” recreating a “fairy tale” environment with some of the fantasy and tribulation at the close of our story and track. It brings a new adventure to life along with the Queen of Disco again leading us into a world of audible ecstasy! REISSUE: “Rumor Has It" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Donna Summer

REISSUE: “Rumor Has It" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Donna Summer Donna Summer again is spotlighted in this ReStructure Mix and from "Once Upon A Time" comes the "Rumor Has It" - "Muh-muh-mah" blend. Don't ask me what that means - this just popped into my head and had to do it. Thanks to Lady Gaga for the "Muh-muh-mah"!

REISSUE: “Once Upon A Time" by Donna Summer - Video Mix by Glenn Rivera

REISSUE: “Once Upon A Time" by Donna Summer - Video Mix by Glenn Rivera From the 1978 Donna Summer double LP "Once Upon A Time" comes this monumental disco track. It marks not only a period where Donna is recognized as an artist as well as a vocalist. The production by Giorgio Moroder and Pete Bellotte assisted by the arrangements by Bob Esty, make this project one that is well lasting in the disco realm. I have taken the 1950 Walt Disney classic, "Cinderella", which "Once Upon A Time" is a disco opera based on the outline and created a small tale using the outline of Donna's magical dance number. ReStructure Mix Update (3/30/20) “Be Yourself” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Air Power

Air Power is a disco project from Donald Burnside and Willie Nance. This track is the underground/independent label disco sound of 1979. A soulful arrangement of bass, guitars and percussion zooming along to disco strings and a funky ensemble. One of my favorites from the time period and one which always set the dance floor on fire. An AVI Records spectacular with a fabulous Rick Gianatos mix down.

I have taken the 12” version of “Be Yourself” and reworked a new ReStructure Mix taking the best guitar riffs and breaks into a new arrangement. It is funky with more of what makes this one cook over-and-over!

REISSUE: "I Will Fight" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Gladys Knight and The Pips

REISSUE: "I Will Fight" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Gladys Knight and The Pips Gladys Knight and The Pips have been recording since 1965 - their music has brought soul and R&B and pattern which is now a part of music history. Throughout the period of 60s, 70s and 80s Gladys and the men have maintained a level of superior sound with the changing of music and times. "Touch" is the groups album from 1981 - produced by Nickolas and Valerie Simpson. The magic is captured again with "I Will Fight" (album version mixes by John Luongo) which is powered by a strong disco-production. I have taken the album versions from 4:10 to a little over 9:30 - taking pieces of the song which strike hard like a beat pounding from floor bass speakers and spreading a message to dancing feet. This track was always a favorite and I resorted to extending and remixing the album version curing the time to keep my dance floor jumping. Now, this extended version with new into, breaks and an echo out make it easier.

REISSUE: "On Your Knees" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Grace Jones

REISSUE: "On Your Knees" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Grace Jones A Grace monument written by D.C. LaRue and Jerry Corbetta From the 1979 LP "Muse" comes "On Your Knees" - the most sadistic of all Grace Jones' recordings - but the sweetest revenge. Produced by Tom Moulton and arranged by Thor Baldursson - this one pulls every inch of Grace onto the dance floor with power and seduction. It was a hit in the discotheques for it's time and now ReStructured to teach us all a lesson about making it right the first time. Backing vocals are provided by Barbara Ingram, Carl Helm, Carla Benson and Evette Benton.

REISSUE: "Whatcha Gonna Do About It" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Rozalin Woods

REISSUE: "Whatcha Gonna Do About It" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Rozalin Woods Rozalin Woods is a disco artist who released one album during the height of the disco era and then was never heard from again in the music industry. The album was "Flashback" and it was produced by Ed Martinez (Papa John Creach, N.E. Philly Band). The album had three singles: "Flashback", "Go Shake Yourself" and "Whatcha Gonna Do About It" (written by Russ Ballard) - each with the full-potential and sound of the disco period. Rozalin's always reminded me of a sweet-Candi Staton-like feel. I have taken the 12" version of "Whatcha Gonna Do About It" along with the instrumental and created a new arrangement with several new breakdowns. The song has a very strong emotion feeling to it and has always been one of the likable songs of the hardcore female disco diva followers.

REISSUE: "The Greatest Show On Earth" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Metropolis featuring The Sweethearts of Sigma

REISSUE: "The Greatest Show On Earth" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Metropolis featuring The Sweethearts of Sigma Thorir Baldursson and Tom Moulton produced one of the most phenomenal disco LPs in 1978 - "The Greatest Show On Earth" by Metropolis. The project encompassed the sweetness of the Philly femme ensemble and the Euro-disco fusion of New York disco music. Tracks from the LP included "I Love New York", "New York Is My Kind Of Town" and "The Greatest Show On Earth" - I have taken "Greatest Show", which has always been an emotional charged favorite and given it a new arrangement and feel. The synthesizer elements of the track are the exciting pieces yet the symphonic build and orchestral arrangements make the song a gem - add the vocals of The Sweethearts of Sigma and you get an unforgettable song. This ReStructure Mix is just another way of looking at the track and is dedicated to Mr. Thorir Baldursson and Mr. Tom Moulton - the to "Sir's" of the disco kingdom.

REISSUE: "Solitaire" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Laura Branigan

REISSUE: "Solitaire" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Laura Branigan Laura Branigan is one of the voices of the 80s that is instantly recognizable. Her dance classic "Gloria" is one of the most powerful dance songs ever recorded. This gave Laura a career in music that moved throughout the 80s and early 90s with several big ballads and a many dance singles. "Solitaire" is from her second LP titled "Branigan 2" which took dance floors to another phase of pop dance and influenced a whole new phase of high energy dance music as well as the powerful femme vocal. Produced by Jack White I have taken the 12" version of the track and worked to enhance the performance by Laura by adding new extended bridges and effects to make the already dramatic phase even more climatic - and eventually a dreamy wind-down. Dedicated to the wonderful energy of Ms. Branigan who sadly passed way too young in 2004

ReStructure Mix Update (3/28/20) “Do You Know The Way To San Jose?” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Croisette

Croisette is disco group created by Ian Levine and Fiachra Trench and began their dance floor fantasy in 1979 with their album “Keep It On Ice”. This project is one of the full orchestrated disco events from this pair and made this concept group last throughout the late 80’s. During the high energy boom of the early and mid-80’s this is one of the majestic sounds which formulated a wall of electric bass, strings and beats. “Do You Know The Way To San Jose?” is a cover of the 1968 Dionne Warwick hit – written by Burt Bacharach and Hal David) and transforms this shattering of dreams into a nice pounding energy with lush disco elements. The song itself is a lyrical masterpiece and is captured nicely in this Levine/Trench arrangement.

I have taken the 12”: version of Croisette’s cover of “Do You Know The Way To San Jose?” and created a new ReStructure Mix for a tribute to the Record Shack/Nightmare Records high energy classic sound. Parts of the original are blended in for a bit of play.

REISSUE: “I’m Coming Out” by Diana Ross – Disco Video Mix by Glenn Rivera Diana Ross took the 80s as the top “disco treat” in 1980 with her album titled “Diana” – with a production by disco duo, Bernard Edwards and Nile Rodgers of Chic. The surprise was that the transformation from disco to a funky-“Chic” sound was quite effective and lasting. “I’m Coming Out” is the second hit from the project and is not only a marker for the Diva of Motown to announce her stance as a lasting performer and artist but also a personal anthem for many gay and lesbian pride celebrations for years following its club success. I have taken the 1997 comedy titled “In & Out” starring Kevin Kline, Tom Selleck and Debbie Reynolds. The film was inspired by Tom Hank’s speech during a 1994 Oscar win for his performance in “Philadelphia”. Both move together with the celebratory mood and also the wacky scenes of our main character’s struggle to accept himself, as is. The film was directed by Frank Oz Featuring scenes from “In & Out” – RENT THE DVD! Disco Video Mix by Glenn Rivera Produced by Ken Emmons

REISSUE: "The Boss" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Diana Ross

REISSUE: "The Boss" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Diana Ross During the peak of disco one of the highlights is "The Boss" by Diana Ross. The LP was a masterpiece of tracks produced by Nickolas Ashford & Valerie Simpson and featured Diana on top of the world. "The Boss" is a track that stands alone. The impact that it created for Ross as an artist is enough to make this one last forever. It also outlines our vulnerability to cleaver lyrics and the emphasis on love itself. My ReStructure is a look at the track from a percussion and string forte which are the dramatic areas of the disco mix.

REISSUE: “Mirror, Mirror” by Diana Ross – Disco Video Mix by Glenn Rivera

REISSUE: “Mirror, Mirror” by Diana Ross – Disco Video Mix by Glenn Rivera Diana Ross returned in 1981 with an LP titled “Why Do Fools Fall In Love” featuring the track, “Mirror, Mirror”. This song was a funky as Ross’ earlier session with Chic producers Nile Rodgers and Bernard Edwards in 1980. The project was produced by Diana Ross and was a big part of the dance fusion of the early 80’s and was co-written by Michael Sembello (“Maniac”) Taking the Walt Disney children’s classic, “Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs” from the Brothers Grimm Fairy tale collection and placing it below the theme of “Mirror, Mirror” was an easy one and flowed wonderfully. This animated classic was released originally in 1938 and had some of the most frightening visions as well as the most sinister figure, The Wicked Queen. This idea came about thanks to Ken Emmons – connecting the two became my job. I hope it entertains you as well. REISSUE: “Swept Away” – Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Diana Ross

REISSUE: “Swept Away” – Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Diana Ross Diana Ross was focused on keeping our eyes, mind and ears moving in many adventurous moves with productions and material. In 1984 the album “Swept Away” features a pop, funk, and soul offering by various producers including the late Bernard Edwards of Chic. The title track utilizes the bass and beat club sound produced by the man who brought it into the light, Mr. Arthur Baker. The track was co-written and co-produced by Daryl Hall of Hall & Oates. The song transforms Ms. Ross in a fantasy of exciting love and eventually the painful demise of it. This one was one of the top played tracks of the time for me thanks to a 12” single mixed by Arthur Baker and edited by The Latin Rascals. Diana sounds soft and subtle with her sexy delivery and eventually takes the song into the dangerous waters of this love. I have taken the 12” long and instrumental version into the ReStructure Mix arena with a bit more use of the beats, synths and open feel of the adventurous sound. The awesome drum beats are hard to ignore here and along with Diana portraying the femme fatale in her own style. A tribute to Mr. Baker here and also a dedication for the talent and work her has given us in dance music.

REISSUE: "Eaten Alive" by Diana Ross - Disco Video Mix by Glenn Rivera

REISSUE: "Eaten Alive" by Diana Ross - Disco Video Mix by Glenn Rivera From the 1985 LP “Eaten Alive”, Diana Ross sounded comfortable taking dance floors by weaving street beats with 80’s synth pop. This production was a vibe of playfulness on Ross’ vocals and a team consisting of Barry Gibb and Michael Jackson as coordinators. The track used a massive sound of pounding drum tracks and trickling percussion to outline a fantasy like uncontrollable love tale. The 1975 Spielberg film, “Jaws” seemed more than appropriate than just a play on words. The terror that this film added to movie history still lingers on. And although we have seen films with more evil intent and gore the mysterious predator in this story seems a bit more of nightmare that would even keep “The Sandman” awake. Dedicated to the hardcore Diana Ross fans, the master, Mr. Spielberg and his unlimited imagination and Roy Scheider who passed away this year in 2008. Featuring scenes from "Jaws" - RENT THE DVD! ReStructure Mix Update (3/27/20) “Burnin’ Alive” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Tony Rallo and The Midnite Band

ReStructure Mix Update (3/27/20) “Burnin’ Alive” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Tony Rallo and The Midnite Band

Tony Rallo (Tony Antoine Desire Rallo) is a musician who has been performing throughout the 70’s with various sounds from rock to disco. His group, Tony Rallo and The Midnite Band were assisted by disco producer Alec R. Costandinos on their project, “Burnin’ Alive” – released on Casablanca Records in 1979. This project was another win for Costandinos who seemed to give his touch a magic shine to many artists he collaborated on. The title track “Burnin’ Alive” is one of the disco-funk pieces which remain an underground gem for those who catch on to the riffs which rings out along with the arrangements and wonderful ensemble Costandinos brings to The Midnite Band for this project. You can hear Costandinos’ flair even though Rallo shines in his own stage.

I have taken the album version of “Burnin’ Alive” and reworked a new ReStructure Mix to give this one a new facelift. A harder downbeat emphasizes the power of the heat here and some new percussion guides the funk edge into a new disco realm.

This ReStructure Mix is de3dicated to Jim Bass – Jim, thank you for bringing this great track back into my mind and finally onto the ReStructure finale. It’s for you my friend.

REISSUE: “You Got To Move It On” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Rofo

REISSUE: “You Got To Move It On” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Rofo Rofo is a disco project from producer Fonny De Wulf and Ronny Verrept. The high energy explosion in the early 80s brought on a deep and pulsating sound of keyboards and synthesizers pounding out a dance beat. “You Got To Move It On” is the third single from Rofo and begins a love song with a dreamy energy. Much of what this studio project set out to represent. Dance floors came alive with tracks like this and made the transition from synth-pop to a more definitive club sound. I have taken the original 12” version of “You Got To Move It On” and created a new ReStructure Mix which plays out with loops and re-editing from the original arrangement. More energy is pulled from the original elements with a touch of the loop edits that mark more of the excitement that the 80s electronic edge was so familiar with.

REISSUE: “Stay With Me” – Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – India

REISSUE: “Stay With Me” – Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – India India is an electronic dance project from disco producer Jacques Morali – who also gave us Village People, The Ritchie Family, Dennis Parker, The Lovers, Patrick Juvet and Phylicia Allen during climb and peak of disco music. This stripped down production is a great transition for Morali whose past work always featured arrangements layered with strings, horns and rhythm sections. The 80s brought a new challenge since major labors no longer supplied the budget for such work. India always reminded me of the 80s rock edge scene with a Steve Perry vocal and pulsating aerobics rhythm. It does however have the sweetness of the disco feel and the wonderful light rock edge with added synthesizers work very well. I have taken the 12” long version (originally mixed by Mr. Steve Thompson) and created a lengthier and flowing ReStructure Mix using more of the bridge and breaks as a piece of the new arrangement. It has a few new surprises and those filled in spots that bring the fantasy of disco music alive again.

REISSUE: “(Together In) Electric Dreams" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Giorgio Moroder and Phillip Oakley

REISSUE: “(Together In) Electric Dreams" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Giorgio Moroder and Phillip Oakley The early 80’s were a period where disco music was transforming pop music into dance fusion. We were lucky to find the champions of disco music, such as Giorgio Moroder holding steady within the industry and giving us projects with a new style and flavor. Although Moroder may have phased a bit from the futuristic feel of disco music he used the pop dance medium as his influence. From this style he created great tunes like the theme from the early computer fantasy film, “Electric Dreams” – the genius was complete in using Human League vocalist, Phillip Oakley. Together they created dreams that lasted on the dance floor. My ReStructure of this 80’s dance hall premium is dedicated to disco fans everywhere, appropriately.

REISSUE: “Move Me With Your Love” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Madleen Kane

REISSUE: “Move Me With Your Love” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Madleen Kane Madleen Kane is disco purrr-fection! Her first album “Rough Diamond” from 1978 is a marker in dance history. Her blend of sexuality and a very subtle yet effective delivery works as discos engineers had intended. It was Euro-disco in a new package with a beautiful face and amazing sensuality to perform disco music as it was intended. “Move Me With Your Love” is a single from Madleen’s album “Sounds Of Love” from 1980 and produced by Paul and Lana Sebastian and Jean-Claude Friederich. Her third project and during a sensitive time for disco releases Madleen maintained her style, talent and confidence in this recording. The sweet rolling track is alluring and one of my favorites from Ms. Kane. I have taken the album version of “Move Me With Your Love” and pieced and played out a more driven version for this ReStructure Mix. I have left all of Madleen’s fantastic vocal parts intact and poured more energy into the arrangement with some funky breaks. A true disco number is played out in full here not only in the recording but with my experiencing Madleen performing live I have seen the talent play out as beautiful as the woman herself.

REISSUE: "Doin' The Best That I Can" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Bettye LaVette

REISSUE: "Doin' The Best That I Can" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Bettye LaVette Disco classics have a sound all of their own - it is obvious that Bettye LaVette's "Doin' The Best That I Can" is one that stands alone. Not only are the lyrics the most emotional and thought provoking - they are timeless. For anyone who has ever been hopelessly in love this one is a powerhouse! A favorite of mine since it first echoed through a discotheque at the age of 16, this one holds allot for heart for me. Bettye LaVette has been recording since 1962 and her return for the disco era is an event. Produced by Cory Robbins and Eric Matthew who were also responsible for bringing Sharon Redd alive in Front Page's "Love Insurance" in 1979. Matthew as well with his productions and band, Gary's Gang have always been praised for his excellence. This ReStructure utilizes the original Mark Sameth 12" mix and works a new percussion track weaving it with a whole new arrangement - respect and long lasting honor for the Walter Gibbons remix also (which is not used here). For Cory Robbins, Eric Matthew and Ms. LaVette - who have created a classic for all to hold close to heart.

REISSUE: “Thank God It’s Friday” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Love & Kisses

REISSUE: “Thank God It’s Friday” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Love & Kisses Love & Kisses is a Euro-disco project from Alec R. Costandinos whose early work in disco’s fame is penning the Cerrone hit “Love In ‘C’ Minor” in 1976. His work as The Disco Syncophonic Orchestra includes his classic “Romeo and Juliet” the project Sphinx. The sound of soul music began its early shift with Barry White brining the full orchestra into the funky grooves and interludes – where the disco connection to European dance music began its full orchestral production. It was indeed another big moment for music in its history. “Thank God It’s Friday” is the theme from the Casablanca/Motown Records 1978 film. This piece took Alec’s group Love and Kisses who have had great success with their first two albums into a more pop-feel with the disco edge. The track plays out in sweetness with a touch of lighthearted comedy as the film did. Love and Kisses featured vocalists from many sessions from the Trident Recording Studios in London who became the sound of Euro-disco in the late 70s. I have taken the 12” version of “Thank God It’s Friday” which was a lengthier version from the soundtrack and reworked pieces and parts for this ReStructure Mix. A new bottom beat and clap are added to pump the energy into a Friday Night feel. More loops are added to remind us of the disco concept which was a powerhouse for the late 70s.

REISSUE:“After Dark" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Pattie Brooks

REISSUE:“After Dark" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Pattie Brooks From her 1978 LP "Our Miss Brooks" - "After Dark" was also included on the soundtrack to "Thank God It's Friday". This is a track that will never run out of charm. It was memorizing from it's release. Simon Soussan produced and mixed by Bob Stone. Perfection. My only reason for attempting a ReStructure Mix was to take Pattie's classic onto my chopping block and have some fun. The percussion alone in this fabulous song is enough to make it a winner - and the bass line is a fantasy on the dance floor. Applause again goes to Pattie and her wonderful approach with this powerhouse tune.

REISSUE: “Too Hot Ta Trot” – Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Commodores

REISSUE: “Too Hot Ta Trot” – Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Commodores Commodores released “Too Hot Ta Trot” in 1977 – from their “Live!” album – produced by James Anthony Carmichael and Commodores. The song was an instant hit and became one of the tracks to appear in the film, “Thank God It’s Friday” in 1978 along with their performance live from the discotheque. The Zoo. This funk masterpiece has all of the riffs that their previous hit, “Brick House” contained and more. This one set this band up for a roll in the funk, soul and disco scene and charts. I have taken the long version of “Too Hot Ta Trot” and worked a new ReStructure Mix to give more of those groovy guitars and the funky brass. I played a great deal with the original to create a more underground and surprise experience for those used to moving their hips to this one!

REISSUE: "With Your Love" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Donna Summer

REISSUE: "With Your Love" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Donna Summer Donna Summer reigns on all counts during the 1978 release of her first film role and soundtrack to "Thank God It's Friday" - not only had all of her hard work and dedication to disco music paid off but there was also a style and chic-ness to her presence. The soundtrack included 3 cuts with Donna Summer - one of them being "With Your Love" - which was released as an extended remix on a special 12". This track emphasized the Giorgio Moroder influence along with Summer's falsetto vocal pulling hearts and minds into the disco sound. It was truly one track that caught my ears. I have ReStructured the track giving it a whole new arrangement using the parts which I favored most along with Donna's knockout velvet/panther like vocals. It is one of my favorites by Donna and hopefully can serve a new purpose with this ReStructure Mix.

REISSUE: "Take It To The Zoo" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Sunshine

REISSUE: "Take It To The Zoo" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Sunshine Sunshine are Donna Summer's sisters. Dara Bernard and Mary Bernard - they began as back-up for Donna during her few projects prior to the release of the "Thank God It's Friday" soundtrack. The project was produced by Arthur G. Wright (Paul Jabara, Rare Gems Odyssey and also from the soundtrack "Leatherman's Theme" from Wright Brother Flying Machine). The track is one of the memorable tracks not only the way it plays out "The Zoo" disco from the film - but also it's funk production and disco strings. The Bernard Sisters do a great job at giving a performance which is laid back, but also encompasses the energy of disco of late 70s.

ReStructure Mix Update (3/26/20) “Heobah (Hey-O-Bah)” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Fonda Rae

ReStructure Mix Update (3/26/20) “Heobah (Hey-O-Bah)” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Fonda Rae

Fonda Rae is a voice that dance floors are familiar with. Her work includes several lead vocals in disco hits including Don Armando and The Seventh Avenue Rhumba Band’s “Deputy Of Love” and Fantasy’s “You’re Too Late”. Fonda’s solo recordings are a continuance of her sound which fills in a needed corner of the disco floor. “Heobah (Hey-O-Bah)” is a single released in 1983 and produced by Danny Weiss, Freddie Perez and Fonda. The track is a spiritual song that is transformed into a rhythmic chant for this infectious disco number. Fonda lends her style with some nice adlibs and feeling to the production. It is one of the songs that gave her the notoriety and celebration to her more of her talent.

I have taken the vocal and instrumental versions of “Heobah” into a ReStructure Mix using the percussion and bass stomping rhythm for a new arrangement. There are a few riffs from Michael Zager’s “Life’s A Party” album added to make the breaks and fade more of an event.

Jorge Barreiro produced Caution in 1980 - his past work included Black Ivory, Disco Rollers, Bamboo ("I Don't Wanna Lose It") and J.R. and The Love Machine. The single "Let It In (Rock)" was a disco blend of distorted guitars and heavy disco bass - along with a mimic rock vocal. The song always sounded like a follow up to Chi Chi Favales and The Black and White Band. I have taken the track and blended it with the 1979 film starring Bette Midler, "The Rose" -using the concert sequences as the metaphor in the light rock essence of this disco track. REISSUE: “Reach For Me” by Funky Green Dogs – Disco Video Mix by Glenn Rivera

REISSUE: “Reach For Me” by Funky Green Dogs – Disco Video Mix by Glenn Rivera Funky Green Dogs are Oscar Gaetan, Ralph Falcon and Tamara Wallace – also known as Murk. Their 1992 deep house single “Reach For Me” is one of my favorite underground feel songs and also one which created an erotic dance floor sensation for many dancers on crowded dance floors. It is one of the house pieces that bring the deep bass alive and vocals which make love over its thumping. It is one of my favorites which bring this Disco Video Mix to life for a visual trip. I have taken scenes from the 1995 science-fiction/thriller “Strange Days” starring Ralph Finnes, Angela Bassett and Juliette Lewis. The story is a futuristic look at Los Angeles during the nearing of the millennium and a device which produces virtual reality in the brain – called SQUID. Problems begin when death and crime take over. This is merely a visual trip using scenes from the film – mostly the erotic performance of Juliette Lewis in the film and segments of minimal violence and the climatic end.
