ReStructure Mix Update (3/22/20) “Let It Flow” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Tamiko Jones

ReStructure Mix Update (3/22/20) “Let It Flow” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Tamiko Jones

Tamiko Jones is a vocalist who began her solo recording career in 1967 featured alongside percussionist Herbie Mann. Tamiko always delivered a sultry vocal that poured on the sensual edge and became her soulful delivery. Her 1976 album “Cloudy” featured the track “Let It Flow” which became one of her dance floor classics throughout the years. This funky and groovy piece gives Tamiko the lead in moving over the rolling instrumental and backing vocals like a snake charmer. It is one of her most sensual and leads up to her big 1979 disco hit “Can’t Live Without Your Love” produced by Randy Mueller (Skyy, Brass Construction, Funk Deluxe).

I have taken the 12” version of “Let It Flow” and created a new ReStructure Mix with more of the percussion to guide this one into a deeper realm. It extends the intro for a groove leading up to Tamiko’s outline and plays out with more breaks and percussion throughout.
