ReStructure Mix Update (3/21/20) “Waiting For A Train” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Moonbase

Moonbase is an Italo-disco project from Tony Carrasco who during the early 80’s shifted our ears and feet into a new sound utilizing the electronics of the time. His work with Mario Boncaldo with Klein and M.B.O. brought a new edge to the dance sector of Italo-disco and New York Street beat. Carrasco takes the track “Waiting For A Train” from Flash & The Pan from 1982 and transferred the innovative rhythms into a pulse of percolating sequencers and haunting keyboard riffs. The 80’s alternative sound that became an odd sense of reality of the time was united with the dance floors more apt to favor the disco edge pouring out of Italian dance producers as Carrasco.

I have taken the 12” vocal and dub into a ReStructure Mix and worked more on the rolling sequencers which roll modestly on the original mix. This reworking utilizes more of the effects for rhythm and a crescendo with the simple rap and rhythm of the song.
