Teena Marie is a music icon. Her work has always encompassed emotion and an edge of funk which is her own style. Throughout the 80’s her blend of dance and ballad numbers have made us dependent on her talent and image. Being one of the artists who received support from Mr. Rick James also. “I Need Your Lovin’” is from her 1980 project “Irons In The Fire” and is a lifting melody in spirit and groove. This unique sound is one that Teena Marie worked with soul and gave us tracks that will always compare to the greatest of the 80’s in more than one way.

I have taken the album and instrumental version of “I Need Your Lovin’” and reworked this beautiful love song into a new ReStructure Mix. I have stripped away parts of the bass and groove to use as a new break over this new remix and also faded out the end to give this piece center stage.
