Heatwave is a band featuring Byron Byrd, Calvin Duke, Derek Bramble, Eric Johns, Ernest Berger, J.D. Nicholas, Johnnie Wilder Jr., Keith Harrison, Keith Wilder, Mario Mantese, Peter Allatt, Rod Temperton, Roy Carter and William Jones. One of the early signs of the dance era on the horizon with their big hit “Boogie Nights” from 1976. – produced by Barry Blue. The sound of this polished ensemble gave the mid-70’s an opportunity to hear what was to come on dance floors. “Boogie Nights” is one of the iconic disco tracks that fits in the soul and funk category and still makes waves with its sharp production and moving vocals.

I have taken the album version and instrumental of “Boogie Nights” and rewired a new ReStructure Mix. Taking elements and rearranging them to give the funky piece a new opportunity to pay homage to one of the greats.
