REISSUE: “Never Say Goodbye” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Chip Chip

Chip Chip is an Italo-disco project from producer Michael Gordon and features
Elena Ferretti and Caren Monique – who later were known as another studio group titled Two Girls (“Another Boy In Town”). The power of Italo-disco had built itself into a completed experimental phase and was now a full out “high energy”. This production is definitely influenced by the group Fun Fun a few years earlier when their track “Colour My Love” became a crossover for Italian disco in clubs as the title follows the familiar pattern. “Never Say Goodbye” was one of my personal favorites during its release and even now always brings back a magical time of 80’s dance music in my heart and mind. The smooth rolling bass and whimsical keyboards have always been a special place of the dance floor and the fantasy that disco music provided for feet.

I have taken the 12” vocal and instrumental of “Never Say Goodbye” and recreated a new ReStructure Mix using the drums and percussion in a new display. More of the rolling keyboard loops and sequencers break the verses into new energy.
