Jackie is a disco artist who released her 1979 track “Under Fire” and gave a transition piece a nice touch into the electronic disco period. This number is one that has many hooks that are infectious and worthy of an anthem along the edge of rock where the energy is transformed. It was produced by Terry Britten and is an instant disco classic thanks to the arrangement and of course Jackie’s mild yet hard hitting vocal. One of the nice tracks that was also covered in 1980 by Debra Dejean.
I have taken the 12” version of “Under Fire” and reloaded the pieces of this great dance number for this ReStructure Mix. It is more of a laid out synth-pattern play with the rolling bass playing out for the feet.
