Moonstone is a disco project from Ian Levine and Fiachra Trench. The recordings featured quite a list of talent in the disco/high energy genre including Liza Strike, Helen Chappelle, Kay Garner, Katie Kissoon, Tessa Niles, Nicci Gable, Lance Ellington, Joycelyn Phillips, Tracy Ackerman, Jackie Rawe and Vivieen Ray. “Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter” is a single released in 1988 and is a wonderful love song with that Broadway-orchestral feel that Levine and Trench left embedded in our minds and feet many times. It is one of the B-sides that I was aware of from their big cover of ABBA’s “The Visitors” from 1989. This one has many nice qualities and stands out with a unique flavor.
I have taken the 12” version of “Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter” and placed in in the ReStructure Mix realm. I have taken several of the beautiful musical movements and made them more a part of the mix and of course the keyboards and percussion are used in a new way.
