Sandra (Sandra Ann Lauer) is a German pop-singer who took the edge of the 80’s with her and her producer husband Michael Cretu (Cretu And Thiers and Enigma) with a powerful electronic dance sound with her subtle and soft delivery. “Secret Land” is a single from 1988 and is a dreamy dance track with rolling bass to bring it the top layer of rhythm. It is one of her most memorable pieces with its haunting and eerie keyboards creeping below the surface. This one is from her project titled “Into A Secret Land” and has the full elements of which sound Sandra made her own during the end of the 80’s.
I have taken the 12” vocal, dub and instrumental of “Secret Land” and reignited a new version for this ReStructure Mix. Adding a few new percussion tracks in areas to give it a new feel and also bring alive the magic that Sandra brought to dance floors.
