Madonna is an artist/singer/actress whose career began as a back-up dancer for disco artist, Patrick Hernandez (“Born To Be Alive”). Madonna’s first album was one of the exciting moments in 80’s music history as we were able to see her dedication and complexity to dance music. Her long run as a celebrity and the never ending shift in her reinvention of sound and essence of her stance have always given us a new way of looking up to her. “Lucky Star” is a single from the first self-titled album and was produced by Reggie Lucas. This love song is in a nursery rhyme feel with a few new injections of the electronic dance scene which was taking part in the early 80’s. The vocal from our diva is along the lines of being childlike to flow with the aim of the tracks adoring desire.
I have taken the 12” version and instrumental of “Lucky Star” to reignite this celestial glow for this ReStructure Mix. A few new hollow beats are added for an endless environment for this wonderful piece.
