ReStructure Mix Update (5/15/23): “Rackety Ride” – Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Candy Belle

Candy Belle is a high-energy project from German producer Christoph Leis-Bendorff and features vocals from Karin Damen. “Rackety Ride” is the single released in 1987 and is a pumping track with synthetic horns and bass throughout the arrangement. The story here is plain and simple where a weekend is quickly approaching and represents an out of control experience. The energy here is at a mid-pace even though it seems to strike more intense with the deep bass drums. This one is the lead from the mid-80’s energy to a newly amended Euro-energy which focuses more on the layering of the arrangement. Candy Belle makes the end of the 80’s seem well worth dancing through.

I have taken the 12” version of “Rackety Ride” and reworked the piece for this new ReStructure Mix. A new percussion driven drum track is placed as the foundation for a new direction where more of the song is a new breakdown throughout the remix.
