REISSUE: “Computer World” by Kraftwerk – Disco Video Mix by Glenn Rivera Kraftwerk is one of the innovative electronic bands in history which created a sound which is iconic for a generation of dance music and sounds. What began as an alternative and experimental rock-edged project in the early 1970s lead to mechanical mainframe of techno-electro vibe music which even today feels like a freshly booted hard drive. “Computer World” is the album which marks a great memory in my mind when the dance floors took the sound into their minds and feet to celebrate a sound which was a new factor in dance and fantasy. I have taken the title track from the 1981 album “Computer World” and blended it with the 1995 film “Hackers” starring Jonny Lee Miller and Angelina Jolie – blending pieces of the computer adventure fantasy to synchronize a trip into a bass thumping electronic track – what in my opinion is one of the greatest moments in electro-vibe dance music.
