Chyp-Notic is Euro-dance
group from Germany whose 1990 cover of Sinead O’Connor’s “Nothing Compares 2 U”
brought a new energy and groove to the moody heartbreak song. The band is Vlad
Mint, Jan Erik and Walter Bee. The 90’s swing beat takes the energy into a
melodic phase which was appropriate for the track and time period. The song did
very well in clubs and received some radio play as well as set the group up for
a readying follow up for dancers.
I have taken the
12” vocal and instrumental of Chyp-Notic’s “Nothing Compares 2 U” and reworked
the drums and airy keyboards into this new ReStructure Mix. It pulls more of
the beats with a few edits and makes way to a touch of the original.
