ReStructure Mix Update (12/12/19) “Meat the Beat” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – East Coast

East Coast is a disco ensemble from producer Charlie Wallert from 1979. Their dance floor hit “The Rock:” from 1978 generated the album project and gave us a few new pieces to move to during the peak of disco. “Meat The Beat” is a smooth track very similar to “The Rock” with a bit more energy to its sound. The funky vocal is a disco must and the 40’s-esque riff is tasty. One of the numbers that I always wished to play yet the album version was engineered much too low so this new version levels it out for that purpose.

I have taken the album version of “Meat The Beat” from East Coast and have given it a new ReStructure Mix. The hand claps are used in and out of this new mix and the excitement is prolonged.
