REISSUE: “Supernature” by Cerrone – Disco Video Mix by Glenn Rivera Cerrone’s 1977 tour de force, “Supernature” is still considered one of the finest electronic disco compositions. It is. With his mastermind and talented musicians, Cerrone created an album, which marked the coming of disco in its perfect form. This track has been reworked and re-recorded, but never with the same impact as the original. I have taken the song and paired it with the 1977-film “Island Of Dr. Moreau” starring Burt Lancaster, Michael York, Nigel, Richard Basehart and Barbara Carrera. The theme is obviously in the same vein as being the demise of mans idea for controlling nature. This video mix touches closely at a time when technology allows us to see how nature exists along side of us – and not for us.
