ReStructure Mix Update (5/1/21) “Shake It Up, Shake It Up” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – The Managers
The Managers is Richard Finch of K.C. and The Sunshine Band and Ish Ledesma from Foxy. Their single “Shake It Up, Shake It Up” from 1982 is that Miami disco sound that was so truly disco during the golden years. Lots of rhythm guitars and bass to move the planet. The arrangement is quite simple – a few words and “shake it up”! A formula which was the emphasis of “boogie” music. This one is more of an experimental piece for the time to find those hardcore dancers. It is on the Henry Stone Miami “Sunnyview” Records label and is one of the many released on it after the closing of T.K. Disco.
I have taken the 12” vocal and “your mix” versions of “Shake It Up, Shake It Up” and realigned the rhythm into new segments for this ReStructure Mix. I pulled away most of the moving pasts to reconnect the track in a new way.
