Sphinx is an Italo-disco project from Luciano Ninzatti, Matteo Bonsanto and Stefano Pulga - the boy who created Kano. These musicians and producers formulated the Phil Spector sound for disco - a wall of synthesizers on a disco beat.
"Bad Girl" is from their 1983 self-titled album - many mistake for the Alec R. Costandinos symphonic-disco production. This track is one of the powerful vocal and keyboard wailing numbers - close to an electronic rock experience. It has always been one of the many on the album I admire.
I have ReStructured the album version (not the 12" remix) and recreated the energy with a few clips and samples from another "Bad Girl" to add to the powerful instrumental.
Dedicated to L. Ninzatti, M. Bonsanto and S. Pulga
