Vera is one pf those dance projects which mark for me a period of new discovery and excitement. Following the fading of the disco era for myself there were a shortage of dance tracks that were beautiful, melodic and built of a pulsating beat. Vera is a project which was began by producer and musician Louis Toteda along with Patti Masi at the vocals – which created an instant club classic titled “Take Me To The Bridge” released in 1980. The production was a new found energy for dance and although it encompassed the disco edge the sound created a new need for this concept in the early 80’s. It was magic for me to hear a beautiful voice over sweeping music once again. “Love Comes Easy” is a single from Vera released in 1984 and was produced by Louis Toteda and Joe La Greca. It is another fine example of the new energy being created in the 80’s for dance music.
I have taken the 12” vocal and dub version to recreate a new ReStructure Mix for those homage to the talented individuals involved. There are some new percussion riffs added and a cameo from The Commodores as fitting with the lush but tame energy here.
