ReStructure Mix Update (8/29/22): “Dancing Machine” – Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Jackson Five
Jackson Five are Jackie, Jermaine, Marlon, Michael, Randy and Tito Jackson. Their career has spanned from the early 70’s throughout the late 80’s first as family band and then as a force in pop music. “Dancing Machine” is a track from their 1974 album by the same name and was produced by Hal Davis and arranged by Arthur Wright. The single is one of the group’s iconic pieces in that it introduced the soulful sound of their music along with early signs of themed disco song. The energy behind this piece is the riffs which drop in and out as horn sections and bring the song to a higher level.
I have taken the album version of “Dancing Machine” and the instrumental version to bring a new ReStructure Mix to salute this classic. The new down beat brings this one a new edge of hardcore floor action. Pieces of the song are drawn more focus for this arrangement to secure a new listening experience.
