Thu Thuy (also known as Sher’e) is an 80’s dance music artist who released a single in 1987 titled “Gonna Lose My Heart” – produced by Skip Saylor. The single was one of the electronic dance productions which were being labeled as Asian Nu-wave. This piece is a rolling bass synth-pop outline with a nice catchy verse and execution with Thu Thuy’s engaging vocal. It is a bittersweet remedy for those who followed the Italo-disco fad of the early 80’s onto the late part of the dance era.
I have taken the 12” version of “Gonna Lose My Heart” and rewired the bass and beats for this ReStructure Mix. Taking the pieces of the dance number and re-stabilizing it with some hard street beats.
