ReStructure Mix Update (8/5/22): “Holly Dolly” – Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Kano

Kano began as an Italian-disco project featuring Luciano Ninzatti, Stefano Pulga and Matteo Bonsanto. The edge of this dance music centered on a powerful mystic influence from another universe perhaps where the groove is the thing. Their big hit “I’m Ready” from 1980 featured a B-side titled “Holly Dolly” which was not included in their album release. The track was another futuristic styled theme with a voice bringing the light on a female figure who rules all during the night. It is one of the provoking pieces as much as “I’m Ready” with familiar elements however; it flies on its own.

I have taken the 12” version of “Holly Dolly” and scrambled the message into a new ReStructure Mix for a new temperature of dance. I have utilized the cowbells and clap drops in a new way to bring this “doll” back to the dance floor.
