Partners are Johnny Russell, Sergio Handlemann and Steve Loyds – a disco/pop group from the US under the production of Claude Mainguy. Their first project titled “The Last Disco In Paris” was picked up by Miami disco label Marlin/T.K. Records and displayed a full-on European sound which also placed their falsetto vocals in a sweet and lyrical environment. Their single “Dance (Whoever You Are)” was a momentary hit and gave the group their sound which continues in an early 80’s high energy format in 1980. “Body Heat” is their single from their project, “We’re Gonna Fly High” (a verse from the single) and plays out with their vocal edge, a catchy riff and a weekend sound.
I have taken the 12” version of “Body Heat” and re-injected several new elements and edits for this ReStructure Mix. A light rhythm track is added to give more traction to the song and more breakdowns of that funk-ass guitar riff.
