ReStructure Mix Update (4/21/23): “Mighty High” – Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Mighty Clouds Of Joy

Mighty Clouds Of Joy are a gospel quartet who began their recording career in the early 60’s and continued to release their gospel/soul tracks throughout the millennium. “Mighty High” is from their 1975 project titled “Kickin’” – produced by Dave Crawford. This uplifting inspirational piece is one that does just what the title says – it ‘kicks’. The energy, lyrics and production are truly the transition of soul and gospel and the feel of the disco dance floors yearning for this sound. The soul fused vocals keep this one alive from start to finish and make it easy to throw your hands up in the air for more than one reason to be grateful.

I have taken the album version of “Mighty High” and re-vamped the production for a new ReStructure Mix. Adding a few percussion tracks to make the sensation that this spiritual song makes easy to understand. I have dedicated this remix to Gerry Owens (FB) who has been an inspirational movement in my world from hearing his wonderful music during my days of dreaming of spinning dance music.
