Debbie Harry is an icon of the 70’s. Her career beginning with Blondie, a nu-wave band made her move onto a solo career a lasting presence throughout the 80’s. “Rush Rush” is a single she released in 1983 – produced by Giorgio Moroder and is featured on the soundtrack to the motion picture, “Scarface”. This electronic pulsating piece has Moroder’s 80’s sound at the start of the transition. A wind-pipe sounding effect gives the song a nice rhythmic sound which echoes a touch of nu-wave-ish feel with the off notes and pattern. Debbie does another wonderful sexy delivery here that gives the song more mystery and movement for its play.
I have taken the 12” vocal and instrumental of “Rush Rush” and re-ignited a new force for this ReStructure Mix. There is a new strip down on the bass and some new pounding beats added atop the already frantic mix.
