When in Rome are Andrew Mann, Clive Farrington, Michael Floreale and Rob Juarez. This English ensemble created one of the unforgettable dance tracks from 1987 titled “The Promise”. Produced by Ben Rogan this immediate hit was all over dance floors with its pleading vocals leading the chorus into many feet and minds. The track was a radio hit also where the band gained some notoriety and released a follow up CD in 2006. A heart fond of the love and dedication to their music makes this piece an old-school classic.
I have taken the 12” vocal. Dun and instrumental and reworked “The Promise” for this ReStructure Mix and in a new way. I focused on an underground and more after-hours feel for this version and have added the keyboard riffs for an airy and moody effect.
