Tears For Fears is Curt Smith and, Roland Orzabal. Their recording career began in 1983 and leads them onto releasing an 80’s anthem which outlines the sound of the synth-pop era. “Everybody Wants To Rule The World” is a rolling dance track which creates a hypnotic and realistic thought of where we are now. The chorus is perhaps one which holds on through time and falls well into the lyrics and power of the songs dynamic. Tears For Fears makes the 80’s seem more real than many songs of the time.
I have taken the 12” version and instrumental of “Everybody Wants To Rule The World” and reimagined the song as an early morning dirge to the suns rising. This ReStructure Mix takes pieces of the song and reworks the arrangement and adds a few new breakdowns and breaks to give it a lasting feel.
